I an to guess that C. Peter Wagner, PhD forgot that Jesus said this: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 (Similar verse Luke 14:11). Then again, they pretty much ignore what they want to ignore, as Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, forgot this wonderful gem, too: “And when thou prayest, thous shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, The have their reward. (6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward the openly.” Matthew 6:5-6. However, the Christian extremists don’t want to be labeled as a “Cult”, which Wagner is quick to point out as inaccurate. I must digress, however, that if I call a spade a spade I honestly deduced that “all y’all” are cultists. Look up the meaning of the word and get back to me on that.

Wagner says that the NAR is the biggest representative of Christians in various parts of the world. The dogmatic “morality” of the church is espoused by those who have forgotten this tidbit of Jesus wisdom: “Judge not, that ye be not judged. (2) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you again. (3) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? (4) Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? (5) Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5 (similar verse in Mark 4:24, Luke 6:27-45) That is all NAR does is pass judgement on those that they deem “sinful” and “perverted”. That includes atheists who are unwilling to succumb to the Christian Extremist morality code that would strip the rights of many.

In Wagner’s “Urgent” Message, he clearly names that there are apostles and prophets in modern times. What did Jesus say? “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. (20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:15-20. We know them by their “fruits” which this particular movement uses to forward ancient ideas and philosophies that ban freedoms such as freedom from religion so that a Christian Theocracy can maintain American law. They will go to extremes, if elected, to make changes to the US Constitution in order to support this theocracy. Then Wagner denies the NAR wants a theocracy, because he is so used to twisting words, their meanings, and logic to achieve what he so desires to achieve. Evil fruit?

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. (9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (10) And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear and understand: (11) Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” Matthew 15:8-11 (similar verse in Mark 7:18-23) With this mouth of his, he proclaims that there is a pecking order among apostles and says that the media calling them “self-appointed” is inaccurate. It’s not. It is obvious that God neglected to point out to the rest of us his “appointed” when he “appointed” them. In the eyes of people they are “appointed” which is an opinion, not sufficient proof, that someone has been chosen by God. I find it completely curious that the “sheep’s” clothing verse can also be applied to this logic, as it directly points out that many false “prophets” will come. The “commandments of men” are the “appointing” of apostles, prophets, and whatnot. In one person’s view, another person’s prophet is a heathen while in another, that prophet is not. It’s opinion, which makes the person self-appointed. Until God comes down and points the prophet or apostle out to me, tells me of the pecking order between the two, and signs the proper affidavit, I’m not buying it.

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? (37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22: 36-40
(Similar verses: Mark 12:28-31) Loving your neighbor as yourself only applies if there is no “sin” going on with your neighbor. So if you don’t believe in God, Jesus, the apostles and other holy crew members, you can count on them not loving you. There’s always that condition with Christian Extremists: if you do X, no love. This is in direct contradiction of God’s law spoken by the great “savior” himself. Isn’t conditional love grand, Wagner?

But they all hail a man as savior who it cannot be proven ever existed. They exalt the words of this man, preach about it, enforce morality codes around it and claim that he died for their sins as a willing participant. He was not a willing participant. Why else would he say “And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice saying, Eli Eli lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27:46 (Similar verse Mark 15:34)? If, by any sane rationalization, a man who has the burden of saving the world with his death and washing everyone’s sins away with his blood willingly went to the “cross” to be killed say, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. Yet, they will constantly say Jesus died for them and that he made this huge sacrifice for all the people of the world when he really didn’t. It’s called “cherry picking” and it’s what extremists use to bend and manipulate the world around them to mean what they want it to mean. They do this because it serves their purposes, it forwards their agenda, and it controls the masses and it keeps the obsolete morality going on and on ad extremum.

For centuries, they have been allowed to do so. They went on about their business of oppression in the name of god unchecked. They never stopped to notice that, perhaps, the real world around them matured while they were wallowing in immaturity, fighting the modern times for ancient “morality” and obsolete dogma. The world has awakened and realized that some of the extremists’ morality doesn’t apply logic, it applies pressure to conform the illogical and toe a line unquestionably. People are questioning. The bible is no longer considered a text of great importance and has now been forced to conform with real logic, which it is unable to do. Inconsistencies are no longer glossed over. The bible has to stand up to logic and it can’t. Neither can any other Abrahamic text. The world of unknowns is now explained away logically. Mysteries are no longer solved by texts that cannot stand up to reason. People no longer wish to be ruled over by a cruel and vicious god that masquerades as one that is “most merciful, most gracious”. I have grown past the fairy tales of my youth, when things made sense to my immature mind that no longer make sense. A talking snake? A pillar of fire? A burning bush? The parting of a sea? The willing sacrifice of a savior? A godless place called Sodom destroyed by an omnipotent hand? A rule to be submissive to a man? There comes a time in everyone’s life where they make a choice to remain ignorant or become informed.

I hate to disappoint you, Wagner, but more and more people are waking up from the blissful slumber of religion and opening their eyes to reason. The need to remain in a box where reality is surreality is no longer a growing trend. There is no Santa. There is no Tooth Fairy. There is no god. There are lying liars willing to promote the dogma that cannot rise to modernity because it is steeped in fairy tales, half-truths, and outright lies. The earth is not flat. There are no boogie men devils or angels without free will. There are no crosses that held the “son of god”. There is no heaven. There is no hell. There are no apostles. There are no prophets. There are no saints. There is no chosen people. There are no obligations to imaginary friend called god. With all the passion I hold, I will never let you or anyone like you to oppress me using the name of god or his imaginary son. I will not live in a world that holds prayer as being an active way to do something when it is totally the opposite. I will not apply logic to the ridiculousness that is your religion because it is impossible to do so.
